A Fabulous Farm Fête
Though Mother Nature may disagree, any gay man knows that post-Labor Day it’s time to hang up your whites and give your Fire Island pool-boy a big kiss goodbye: summer’s over. Though the calendar season may linger into late September, that’s no reason not to embrace autumn for all it’s worth. And, what better way to welcome in the new season than with a soiree, especially one for a good cause.
The 6th Annual Fall Fest, an annual charity event thrown by The Hetrick-Martin Institute, home of the Harvey Milk School, the nation’s oldest and largest at-risk LGBTQ youth organization, will be held on Saturday, September 17th. Hosted on a breathtaking 500-acre farm in Red Hook, NY, the Fall Fest is your chance to enjoy afternoon cocktails and appetizers in the beauty of Hudson Valley autumnal foliage, while bidding on terrific items in the official auction. Best of all, it’s a chance to show off that new fall blazer you just blew half a paycheck on.
Those who purchase premiere individual tickets are invited to attend a very special After-Party dinner at the famous Gigi Market, adjacent to the farm.
