A Sweet New Resident at the Chelsea Hotel
We wouldn’t normally tempt you toward carbs, but it’s time to get your just desserts with some local sugar in Chelsea. The Doughnut Plant, recently opened at the Chelsea Hotel, directly across from DBG, is worth an extra mile on the treadmill.
But don’t expect to find pedestrian flavors at this fine confectionary. Instead, you’ll be enticed by Pistachio, Tres Leches, Organic Orange and Valrhona Chocolate to name a few. We’re not normally size queens, but these big boys are worth the hefty price tag – plan on spending at least $2 per treat, Sugar Daddy.
You’ll not just find this delectable doughnut in the Big Apple, though. The Doughnut Plant has opened to booming success in Japan and Korea – making this local favorite an international fried sensation. And on another point of cultural variation, we’ll also note that their Mexican Churros are more than worthy of a taste or three!
