Armani, Gucci, Dior…Beware!

The dress shirt is one of the most important staples of the modern man’s wardrobe, but recently we’ve been disappointed by the selection in many of our favorite stores. It has become an epic effort to find a shirt that fits our fabulous physique while also inspiring the eyes of our onlookers. Luckily, when almost to the point of defeat, tragically turning to T-shirts for relief from our frustration, we were introduced to Bogosse.

Bogosse—meaning “handsome” in French—creates clothing that compliments its customer’s build, whether waifish or heavy, thanks to an impressive use of darting and contemporary cuts. The clothing line, founded in 2004 by two Haitian-born brothers, Patrick and Fabrice Tardieu, prides itself on breathing modern life into the classic men’s garment by imbuing it with updated details and luxurious finishes. Colorful, yet tasteful stitching, square buttons, and strong collars are combined with the highest-quality textiles, inspired by the brothers’ impressive backgrounds. Patrick’s experience as the first Haitian player signed to a U.S. Professional Soccer team took him around the world, while Fabrice spent a decade as the Head of Sales and Distribution for Emporio Armani in France and the French Caribbean.

Together the Les Frères Tardieu have taken their worldly perspectives, refined sense of style, and strong business acumen to create a brand that rises above the mainstream competition with clever design and elegance, not to mention a superior price point.
