Donatella’s Back Door
We have two Donatellas in our life, and we love them both dearly. While Ms. Versace keeps us entertained with fabulous fashion and substance abuse scandals, Donatella Arpaia keeps us hungry for gastronomic greatness.
The latter’s newest venture is DBar, an intimate lounge located around the corner from the new pizzeria bearing her name on 8th Avenue. DBar, accessible via a 19th street entrance or a secret door in the back of Donatella, features drinks and bartenders that are smoking hot. Our favorite concoction on the DBar drink menu is an absinthe based libation that is served flaming.
Whether you enter through the front door or slip in the back, you’ll be happy you’ve arrived at DBar.
