Don’t Miss This Ferry!
Now that the weather has turned from speedo-warm to cashmere-crisp, we can’t help but miss those sun-filled days ogling oiled bodies on the beach. While we love the glamour of autumn gallery openings and the return of the Met Opera, we long for just one more day on Fire Island. Well boys, lucky for us there’s a brand new Musical to let us live one last steamy experience.
Little House on the Ferry, a hot new musical by Robert Gould, starring Colton Ford and a number of talented actors, tells the story of six gay men in a share in the Fire Island Pines. The story is centered around a couple in an open relationship and the “trouble” that results during their weekend on the island. The main character, Randall then has to make a decision…stay with his faithful boyfriend or take a chance on the new, younger beau… trés dramatique! Gould explained to us that the play is “…not just about Fire Island, it is not a gay camp comedy, it is the story of choosing the right path in life which is universal and dramatic; the basis for all good comedy.”
The story sound familiar? Then maybe you’ve spent too many summers on Fire Island!
