Fight the C Word

New Yorkers like to think they are invincible—fiercely competitive, endlessly passionate and never backing down from a fight.  Seldom hesitant to get down and dirty, when push comes to shove these independently minded urban warriors also know how to unite for the greater good.  This month, we urge New Yorkers to gather your fellow troops and band together to fight the nation’s number two killer: cancer.

On February 23th, join the American Cancer Society for its inaugural event “Encore for Hope”, a fabulous night fighting cancer, featuring Joey Arias and the hilarious Judy Gold. The fundraising event is also slated to have performances by the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus and appearances by several of our favorite of New York’s drag elite.

All proceeds directly benefit the ACS, so this is the perfect opportunity to fight the “C” word.  See you there, soldiers!
