Now that beach season is long over and we’re switching from short sleeves to sweaters, we can endorse you sneaking the occasional sweet, as long as no one sees you in the act, of course. For those exhausting days when you desperately need to treat yourself to something decadent, we suggest popping into La Maison du Macaron.
La Maison du Macaron has the best authentic French macaroons we’ve found in the city. With more than twenty delicate flavors, including raspberry, caramel crème, and champagne, it will be hard to decide where to begin your dessert debauchery!
While the macaroons are the most indulgent of the petit bakery’s offerings, the almond and chocolate almond croissants are not far behind. With flaky shells and incredibly moist interiors, it’s difficult not to justify the masterfully prepared pastries as being part of a balanced breakfast.
