Gay Men Really ARE French Women

With January behind us and New Year’s resolutions slowly fading away, along comes Simon Doonan to remind us that “Gay Men Don’t Get Fat.” His tongue-in-cheek diet book is the perfect comedic reminder to help you laugh away that winter belly.

Doonan, Barneys New York’s Creative Ambassador, lays it out for us all in an entertaining & satirical diet bible that should be taken with a fairly large grain of salt (pink Himalayan, obviously).  “Gay Men Don’t Get Fat,” is “a stylishly slimming discourse that proves gay men really ARE French women: prone to disdain, favoring cheeky underwear, convinced of their own artistic brilliance, and (of course) calorie-obsessed.” Though many may cringe at Doonan’s glaring stereotype, the author explains that the exploration of stereotypes may be the best way to diffuse them.

On February 15th take advantage of a rare opportunity to hear the words straight from Doonan as he stages a reading at The Gay Center in the West Village.
