Getting Bazaar with Travel+ Leisure

Bazaar—the word conjures up colorful, almost mystical images of ancient Eastern trade: Persian rugs flanking a gauntlet of spices, jewels, livestock and swarthy artisans looking to sell their wares to the highest bidder.  And of course, they all resemble Disney’s disturbingly erotic, shirtless Aladdin.  While Travel+ Leisure’s Global Bazaar may not create the same confused stirrings in your 12-year old pajamas as Aladdin’s physique did, its myriad of exotic offerings are sure to pique your interests in other ways.

Guests have the opportunity to sample an array of culinary, travel and shopping experiences without applying for a visa or getting a full body pat-down (unless that’s your thing).  You can taste Singaporean street food, freshly baked Florence-style panini or a medley of organic chocolates from Green & Black.  Sample spa services by Shangri-la and Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts or expand your already urbane artistic palate at the International Art Exhibit featuring pieces by both veteran artists and cutting edge up-and-comers.

And if all else fails to excite, get your New Year’s Eve and Carnaval 2012 juices flowing by checking out the Brazilian capoeira dancers.  Uma caipirinha, por favor!
