Music enthusiasts have recently embraced the sound and style of the 60s and 70s in contemporary artists including Adele and the late Amy Winehouse, as well as in groups such as Florence and the Machine. After all, who doesn’t like a woman with a set of pipes matched only by an equal amount of retro style…it’s a winning combination!
Mette Lindberg, front woman for Danish psych/alt-pop outfit The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is no exception. With a dynamic voice and Barbarella-esque presence, Lindberg has captivated Europe, and will soon have the US under her power.
Lindberg and her band were first introduced to Americans when their song “Around the Bend” was featured in a popular iPod Touch ad in 2008, and with a second album Out of Frequency dropping this January and a new “Major” available now, we can’t help but want to groove!
