Gym Sex(y) in Your Home
For many, the thought of home gym equipment still inspires visions of bulky treadmills and Nordic Tracks that quickly morph into coat racks. Technogym aims to break that stereotype with its sleek line of equipment, beautifully designed to not only fit, but look fitting in any successful bachelor’s flat.
Designed by architect Antonio Cittero, the company’s Kinesis line is a work of art. The sexy vertical form, skinned in leather or mirror, is surprisingly thin and fits snugly against any flat wall.
We recently got up close and personal with this sultry addition to the private fitness world at the grand opening of the Technogym’s brand new SoHo store. New York luminaries like Russell Simmons and Mayor Bloomberg were there to toast Technogym founder Nerio Alessandri and experience the equipment first hand.
“Wellness is a total social opportunity,” said Alessandri, “For governments to reduce health service costs, for companies to stimulate their members to be more creative and productive and for all people to improve their health and lifestyle.”
While Allesandi’s message is quite poetic, we are stuck on how sexy the machine will look next to the oversized Leibovitz print in our bedroom!
