Malan Breton is Making it Work!
Jay McCarroll, Chloe Dao, Jeffrey Sebelia, Christian Siriano, Leanne Marshall, Irina Shabayeva, Seth Aaron Henderson, Gretchen Jones . Some of these names may be immediately familiar while others may leave you scratching your head…they are the past winners of “Project Runway.” Every season, we watch the program in giggly anticipation to see who will be IN or OUT, and ultimately who will be chosen as the best designer. While it is undeniable that the past winners have all been talented, many have fallen off the radar after receiving their cash and title. That is why we’re even more impressed with designers who were cut from the show and have fought to stay in the spotlight, and one of the most recognizable names and faces we know is Mr. Malan Breton.
Since appearing on “Project Runway,” Breton has stayed busy cranking out both men’s and women’s collections as well as contributing to OK! magazine and making numerous public appearances. This season, the designer has expanded into men’s jewelry and we are particularly taken with his stylish, dimensional interpretation of the dog tag, which incorporates laser-cut black metal, brass, gold and silver.
