Shake Your Groove Thing!

We’re fond of old meets new. Like reclaimed wood fashioned into a stellar timepiece or a vintage shipping crate made into a fabulous wardrobe, we love repurposing. Many times in music however, old standards are recut by new stars without much interpretation, resulting in soulless and tired knockoffs lacking any sensibility. But once in a blue moon, a band enters the scene and walks the perfect line between old and new, and leaves us dying for more. The Phenomenal Handclap Band does this with ease and will have you feeling funky in no time.

A Cosmic-Disco group combined of multi-disciplined artists, P.H.B. brings groovy bass lines that harken the era of Issac Hayes and pairs them with the more electronic-synth sounds of the Eurythmics. The result is a cool, edgy sound that feels like an old friend but still holds surprises on every track. The group’s sophomore effort, Form & Control, places significant emphasis on instrumentals so you can expect balanced compositions that are full of energy and light.
