Shopping for exquisite clothing is a deliciously self-indulgent pastime. Make yourself look good, make yourself feel good, or so the logic goes. Any metro male knows nothing is more satisfying than finding a sublime ensemble on the streets of Soho.  Almost nothing, that is. We would venture to say that the combination of great couture in conjunction with a good cause is the sweetest purchase of all.

The Eighth Annual Fashion for Action Gala is the event of the year to get your fix of high-end fashion at great prices, all the while supporting Housing Works, in its efforts to assist low-income New Yorkers with HIV and AIDS.  At this year’s kick-off gala you can expect all the accoutrement of a luxe fashion benefit:  cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction…and yes shopping!  We invite you to join honorary chair and menswear-impresario Thom Browne and his co-chairs, actress Patricia Clarkson and designer Rachel Roy, as they partner with Housing Works to fight homelessness and AIDS.  And yes, you can pick up some to-die-for clothes while you’re at it.

A little noblesse oblige can go a long way.
