Matinée was launched in Ibiza in 1997 and since then has become one of the foremost gay parties internationally.  And this month,  Patrick Crough and Jake Resnicow have organized the perfect two-day event to end summer.  Matinée NYC Festival will take place Saturday,  September 3rd at Fire Island Pine’s Pavilion with DJs Billy Lace and Eddie Elias.  The party continues Sunday,  September 4th at District 36 in Manhattan,  with DJs Theresa,  Hector Fonseca,  and Javier Medina and special performances by Cirque Du Soleil.

Don’t mistake Matinée for a circuit party….it’s an experience.  Matinée events have quickly become known for their elaborate atmospheres,  complete with aerialists,  light lasers,  and Broadway show caliber sets.  “Part of our mission is to show people that a Matinée party is all about creativity,”  says Patrick Crough.  “Our events have been called feasts for the senses that inspire awe and wonderment.”
