Watch What You Eat….and Eat What You Watch!
If there is one thing we like more than sex, it’s food. And we think the team behind the NYC Food Film Festival would agree! For the last five years the Festival has satisfied New Yorkers’ appetites for food and entertainment in a simply perfect way. As guests watch films in which food plays a starring role, they are simultaneously served that cuisine….creating a multi-sensory experience.
The Festival, which is highlighted by a series of screenings, kicks off with “Cheers To Burgers and Beers” - as one might gather from the title, it pairs short films about burgers and beer with grass-fed burgers and ‘beer… cupcakes’. You’ll have to see it to believe it!
This year’s Festival includes two evenings of South American-inspired cuisine with “Tribeca Taco Takedown” and “Edible Adventure #3: Mistura + More,” the first-ever “Food Porn Party” (which incidentally brings two of our favorite things together), an Italian pizza binge at “Di Fara Pizza Lunch” , then goes back to the barn for the final evening at “Farm to Film to Table”.
A portion of the festival proceeds go to the Food Bank for New York City, reminding us all that every New Yorker deserves a good feed!
